All About Me

Welcome to my first post! My name is Ellisa Anderson. I am an average teenage girl who loves to take pictures. Some of my other hobbies include basketball, gymnastics, competitive swimming, singing, and playing violin and guitar. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and spending time in nature.

I have been taking pictures for many years. However, I started more seriously about three years ago when I bought my first "nicer" camera. Right now I take pictures with a Nikon Coolpix P610. I am hoping to upgrade sometime in the future. I have taken pictures for a couple wedding, senior photos, and yearbooks. My favorite type of photos to take are close-ups. One of my teachers a few years ago got me interested them. I love trying to see how much detail and intricacy I can capture in each closeup. I also love doing photoshoots with people! My sister and I have spent hours doing photoshoots together. One of the things that I like about taking pictures of people is the ability to capture special moments. The memories that can be relived through photos are priceless!

I have traveled a lot and I enjoy sharing photos from my travels. I have traveled to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Israel, Europe, and all over the United States. Although I like taking portraits and pictures of people, my favorite ones are in nature. I believe in God and when I take photos of nature I see Him written all over them. I feel close to God through nature and one of the ways I honor him is by taking pictures in His creation.
